PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable winning device for producing widely variable ball movements so that willingness of a player to play does not decrease while chances of excessive winning are reduced as much as possible. SOLUTION: A variable winning device includes: a container for receiving a part of balls hit by a hitting mechanism into a game area of a game panel into an internal space extended in the back and forth direction of the game panel through an opening part formed in the game area; an opening/closing body which is disposed outside the opening part, blocks hit balls' entrance into the internal space in a closed state, and allows the hit balls to enter the space in the open state; and a winning port for taking in the balls received in the internal space. The variable winning device includes a plurality of passage ports which are provided along a part of the opening part and communicate with the space. The plurality of passage ports include detectors which have tilt in the vertical direction of the game panel, is disposed above and below the game panel, and detects balls which are allowed to enter the internal space.
