<p>A rolling speed control method of a cool tandem rolling machine is provided, which is capable of surely preventing a temperature of a rolled material taken up by a take-up machine after rolling from exceeding an upper limit. To do so, the method includes a step of sequentially calculating an estimated temperature of the rolled material rolled at a temporary rolling speed from a temperature model of a stand on the uppermost stream based on a temperature model generated per stand using rolling speed of each stand and a rolled material temperature on an input side of each stand as variables to calculate a temporary estimated temperature of the rolled material when taken up by the take-up machine, a step of comparing the temporary estimated temperature with a prespecified comparison value, and a step of calculating corrected rolling speed comprising the temporary rolling speed corrected to decelerate so that the estimated temperature of the rolled material calculated based on the temperature model is lower than the comparison value when the temporary estimated temperature is higher than the comparison value to operate the cool tandem rolling machine at the corrected rolling speed for rolling the rolled material.</p> |
