PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and durable electrode for causing a specific component contained in a solution similar to gold, platinum and iridium to generate a current output.

SOLUTION: The working electrode 9 (the electrode 1 for an electrochemical measurement apparatus) is used for the electrochemical measurement apparatus 3 for measuring a concentration of the specific component contained in the solution, uses an alloy containing iridium and nickel, and is configured so as to detect the specific component contained in the solution.
