PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image data accumulation method, an image data accumulation program and a recording medium which determine the priority of erasure candidates of accumulated data, by taking into consideration the probability of rereading of an original. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is provided with: a reading means for reading the original; an accumulation means for accumulating image data read by the reading means; and a priority determination means for determining priority of erasure and processing of the image data accumulated by the accumulation means.
