<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cooling device with superior gas cooling efficiency capable of sufficiently reducing noise such as radiant noise and vibration without causing cost increase. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The gas cooling device has a cooler tank 10 forming a fluid passage 13 for cooling gas and a fluid passage 14 for the cooling water, and heat exchange is carried out between high temperature gas passing through the fluid passage 13 and low temperature cooling fluid passing through the fluid passage 14. It is equipped with a sub tank 15 attached to the cooler tank 10 and forming a gas introduction space 16 communicated with an inlet side of the fluid passage 13, and an inlet side pipe member 17 forming an inlet side passage 17a for introducing high temperature gas and inserted in an inserting direction different from a gas introducing direction toward the fluid passage 13 from the gas introduction space 16 with respect to the sub tank 15. The inlet side pipe member 17 has a curved part 17b of curving a downstream portion of the inlet side passage 17a from the inserting direction to the gas introducing direction in the gas introduction space 16, and it is opened in the gas introduction space 16.
