<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle in which a kettle body can be rotated without being lifted in the state of mounting the kettle body on a mounting surface such as a table and the service life of a power feeding-power receiving mechanism can be kept sufficiently long. Ž<P>SOLUTION: On the bottom surface of the kettle body 3, a grounding rotating body 21 which can be rotated around the vertical axis of a body 7 relative to the body 7 is provided. In the power feeding attitude of mounting the kettle body 3 on a power supply plate 2, a separation state of blocking the rotation of the body 7 on the power supply plate 2 through the grounding rotating body 21 is maintained. In the mounting attitude of mounting the kettle body 3 on the mounting surface alone, the grounding rotating body 21 is brought into contact with the mounting surface and the body 7 can be rotated on the mounting surface.
