<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous heating furnace, efficiently burning fuel while restraining generation of NOx. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This continuous heating furnace includes: a furnace body 10 in which several heat treatment zones are arranged along the carrying direction of carrying a steel product from the charging side to the extract side; a gas duct provided on the most upstream side in the carrying direction and allowing a furnace atmosphere flowing through the interior of the furnace body in the opposite direction to the carrying direction to flow into it; and a plurality of burners provided on the side wall 12 of the furnace body. The burner includes: an air supply passage 32 terminating with an air supply port 31 for supplying the air into the furnace; and a fuel supply passage 34 disposed at a space in the periphery of the air supply port and terminating with fuel supply ports 33a, 33b for supplying fuel into the interior of the furnace. In the burner, the fuel supply passage terminating with the fuel supply ports disposed on the upstream side from the air supply port in the carrying direction is inclined toward the air supply port as it terminates.
