The invention relates to a load-bearing structural fiber composite component which is produced of exactly intermeshing individual elements which define cavities in between them, said elements being preforms of layered semi-finished fiber products and the structural component having a complex, branched structure. The invention also relates to a method for integrally producing a box-type load-bearing, thick-walled structural fiber composite component having a complex, branched geometry.
