The method involves activating storage channels (22-11, 22-12), and controlling electron sources (9-1, 9-7) for delivery of electron beams aligned on focal spots (10-11, 10-12, 10-41, 10-71, 10-72) to produce X-ray beam bundles (14-12, 14-41). Measurement values in the storage channels are detected and stored. The storage channels are closed according conditions of measurement. A sum of the measurement values stored in the storage channels is formed. The beam bundles are adjusted by radiation of an inspection object e.g. human body, on a detector (16) for detecting the measurement values.
