<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly achieve a help function for a key operation. <P>SOLUTION: A printing device is provided with: a depressing button type key 102; a key depression detection part for detecting a state that the key 102 has been depressed by a user; a display part 16 for displaying information to the user; and a control part for controlling the operation of the printing device. The key 102 is provided with a key top as a section to be touched by the user when the key 102 is depressed and a touch sensor for sensing that the key top has been touched by the user. The control part discriminates, by detection, between the state that the key 102 has been depressed by the user and the state that the key 102 has not been depressed but the key top has been touched by the user based on the outputs of the key depression detection part and the touch sensor for detection, and when detecting the state that the key 102 has not depressed by the user but the key top has been touched by the user, the control part makes the display part 16 display information explaining the operation to be performed by a printing device when the key 102 has been depressed by the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
