PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handy RFID (radio frequency identification) reader device capable of preventing useless power consumption and avoiding collision of radio-frequency radiation by directly managing radio-frequency radiation by a control device.
SOLUTION: A handy RFID reader 10 comprises a push button type reading SW 12 in which a handy mode is specified in an initial state by a host personal computer 14. When the reading SW 12 is pressed down, a reading instruction issuance request is transmitted to the personal computer 14. The personal computer 14, upon receiving the reading instruction issuance request from the RFID reader 10, checks the reading SW 12, a battery, or the like, and transmits reading execution instructions if normal while instructing a shift to a stationary reader mode if abnormality is detected. The RFID reader 10, upon receiving the reading execution instructions from the personal computer 14 in the handy mode, executes ID reading to the RFID tag 17, invalidates the reading SW 12 when the shift to the stationary reader mode is instructed, and carries out ID reading to the RFID tag 17 according to instructions from the personal computer 14.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
|
