PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which suitably extracts mark waves from a detection signal from a sensor. SOLUTION: This image forming device 1 comprises a formation part 23, a control part 61 which makes form the images of a plurality of marks 81, a sensor 53, and an extraction part 61 which extracts as the mark waves WM' a plurality of signal waves belonging to a first regulating range from the signal waves with a higher matching level with a basic waveform corresponding to the mark for a waveform evaluation index among the signal waves included in a detection signal SA.
