PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a money bar storage device improving accuracy in close examination of the amount in hand. SOLUTION: The money bar storage device for storing money bars B in a parallel state in the length direction of a cassette 50 to be dispensable, comprises a carrier 91 movable along the length direction of the cassette 50; a magnetic data detecting means 142 detecting magnetic data of the money bars B supported to the carrier 91 and stored in the cassette 50; and a confirming means for comparing the magnetic data detected by the magnetic data detecting means 142, with the prestored reference magnetic data of the money bars to confirm the presence of normal money bars, the presence of different denomination money bars and the amount-in-hand of the normal money bars.
