<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination key switch in which stable brightness is generated by reducing deterioration and variation of luminance, and durability is improved by reducing distortion of a light guide member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The key switch includes a substrate 3 having a fixed contact part 9 consisting of a central contact 9A and outer periphery contacts 9B arranged in its surrounding provided on the surface, a switch dome 5 which includes an outer periphery fringe to contact the outer periphery contact 9B and includes a movable contact part 5A at the crown part opposed to the central contact 9A, and is made of a flexible and bowl-shape conductive material, a dome pressing member 11 which presses the switch dome 5 at the prescribed position on the substrate 3, a light emitter 15 arranged on the substrate 3, a light guide member 13 which guides light from the emitter 15 to the upper position of the crown part, a key mat 17 which is arranged at the upper part of the light guide member 13, and a pressing member 29 which is installed integrally at a position that does not obstruct shading of the light guide member 13 on the upper part of the crown part on the rear face of the key mat 17, and presses down the crown part of the switch dome 5.
