PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting response of a cancer patient to a carcinostatic agent therapy, useful as an index in determination whether the doctor administers some carcinostatic agent to the patient. Ž
SOLUTION: There is provided a method for predicting response of a cancer patient to a carcinostatic agent, comprising a step for obtaining each specific activity of cycline-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1) and CDK2 from malignant tumor collected from the cancer patient, a step for obtaining the cell cycle profile score based on the obtained specific activities of CDK1 and CDK2, and a step for predicting degree of response to the carcinostatic agent based on the obtained cell cycle profile score, wherein the CDK1 specific activity is represented by the ratio of the CDK1 activity value to the CDK1 expression amount and the CDK2 specific activity is represented by the ratio of the CDK2 activity value to the CDK2 expression amount.
