PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply easy and accurate waterproofing treatment to a drain wire extracted from the terminal of a shielded wire. SOLUTION: Onto the drain wire formed of a twisted conductor and extracted from a sheath at the terminal on the connector connection side of the shielded wire, a heat-shrinkable tubing is applied ranging from the terminal connection side of the front end to a position spaced from the sheath end. The heat-shrinkable tubing is partially heated and firstly thermally shrunk in a required region from the terminal connection side so as to be closely attached to the outer periphery of the drain wire. A powder or rod shaped solid thermosetting resin is supplied from the front end opening of the heat-shrinkable tubing, not shrunk, on the sheath side to a space between the inner periphery of the heat-shrinkable tubing and the outer periphery of the drain wire. Then, the heat-shrinkable tubing is heated at its non-shrunk side to melt the thermosetting resin to be filled into a space between the element wires of the drain wire and between the drain wire and the inner periphery of the heat-shrinkable tubing, and the heat-shrinkable tubing is thermally shrunk to be closely attached to the outer periphery of the drain wire.
