<p>Disclosed is a polymer actuator which has a first electrode layer (3) and a second electrode layer (4) both comprising an ionic liquid, a polymer and carbon nanoparticles, wherein the carbon nanoparticles are prepared by mixing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with carbon nanohorns (CNHs), the carbon particles are contained in each of the first and second electrode layers in an amount of 25 to 80 wt% inclusive relative to the total weight of the ionic liquid, the polymer and the carbon nanoparticles, the ratio of the content of the CNTs to the content of the CNHs (i.e., a (CNT):(CNH)) in the carbon particles is 1:1 to 3:1, and the polymer is contained in an amount of 17.7 to 30.2 wt% inclusive. The polymer actuator can generate a larger driving power and a larger amount of displacement than ever before.</p> |
