PURPOSE: A method for controlling a winter mode of an air conditioner for a car is provided to heat the indoor by comprehensively deciding a set period and outdoor air temperature after eliminating frost. CONSTITUTION: When starting of the vehicles is turned on(S1), a temperature sensor and a timer, which are included in a controller of an air conditioning system, sense current states and transmit the detected state. The delivered current state value and a preset state value are compared by the controller. If the state value and the current state value accord, the air conditioning system is operated in a winter mode. The preset state value includes the temperature of an outdoor air unit, the elapsed time to the on state after starting point, and the starting pint time of the vehicles.
