<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device to be mounted at the bore of a shaft hole of a housing for sealing the space around a shaft, capable of suppressing slipping-off caused by the pressure even if the housing internal surface is not provided with a step for hindering slipping off and exerting excellent peripheral seal performance. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing device has a first seal formed by combining a first packing material furnished with a first seal lip with a first metal ring to hold the first packing material and a second seal by combining a second packing material furnished with a second seal lip with a second metal ring to hold the second packing material and arranged on the outside-machine side of the first seal. The first seal is integrally formed with a metal fitting part in a cylindrical shape to be metal fitted in the housing and a seal supporting part in a stepped shape to admit fitting of the second seal and pressing to the housing are formed rigidly on the first metal ring. In the second seal, a part of the cylindrical forefront section of the second metal ring covered with the second packing material is fitted in the seal supporting part in a stepped shape and pressed to the housing, and in this portion, a structure of bringing the second packing material into tight contact with the housing is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
