摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of imparting an electrostatic charge to particles. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of particles to be charged 145 are provided for a plurality of nanostructures 120. The plurality of nanostructures 120 are disposed over a first electrode array 111 including a plurality of electrodes spaced apart with each other. By means of a multi-phase voltage source 130, which is operatively coupled to the first electrode array 111, a traveling electric field is created between each electrode of the first electrode array 111 by applying the multi-phase voltage to the first electrode array 111. Thereby, a plurality of charged particles 146 are formed by electron emission from the plurality of nanostructures 120.
