PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate guide mechanism for an article transporting device wherein an article is transported at a high speed. SOLUTION: The guide mechanism 10 of the article transporting device 1 includes a conveyor 3 for loading and transporting a can 2 as the article, side guides 4, 4 arranged on widthwise both sides of the conveyor 3, and an upper guide 5 arranged above the conveyor 3. A space 6 enclosed by the loading surface of the conveyor 3, inside parts of the side guides 4, 4 and a lower side part of the upper guide 5 is formed, and a series of transport route 7 is formed by forming the space 6 long in a transporting direction of the can 2.
