<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus wherein tone skip in a recording medium gamut boundary is not generated and saturation deficiency is reduced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The color MFP (image processing apparatus) 1 has: a color image read part 10 for mounting paper, books or the like and scanning an image; a display/operation/input part 11 which displays information or the like set in the device or inputs information to the device; a color image formation part 12 for forming a color image in paper, film or the like, which are memory mediums; an image processing part 13 for performing image processing for a read image or an image input from an outside; an external part I/F 14 having a function for communicating with an external apparatus; and a control part 15 for carrying out various control to the devices.
