PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet-type laminated iron core which facilitates collection of a permanent magnet at recycling, fixes the permanent magnet inserted into a magnet installation hole to a predetermined position without deteriorating circularity of the permanent magnet-type laminated iron core, and to provide a method of manufacturing the iron core. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet-type iron core 10 is constituted by laminating a plurality of core pieces 11 and 12. The iron core includes an axis hole 13 formed in a center and a plurality of magnet installation holes 15 which are formed at a periphery and into which the permanent magnets 14 are inserted, and a rotation axis 16 is installed in the axis hole 13. Notches 17 and 18 are formed in a part of the core pieces 12 in the laminated core pieces 11 and 12 in a circumferential direction of the core piece 12 toward a side of the magnet installation holes 15 from the axis hole 13 with intervals D. A depression part 19 to which base parts 24 project to a side of the axis hole 13 is installed between the notches 17 and 18. The rotation axis 16 is disposed in the axis hole 13 so as to depress the depression part 19 to a side of the magnet installation holes 15.
