PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine that has the function of starting a jackpot game through a small combination and the function of directly staring a jackpot game, the game machine being configured such that jackpot games easily occur in succession. SOLUTION: The game machine stores winning/non-winning information according to a game ball that has entered a start pocket. When the winning/non-winning information is stored, winning/non-winning is determined. If the winning/non-winning determination is made that a small combination has been won, a special ball-entry port is opened. If a game ball that has entered the special ball-entry port passes through a special area or if the winning/non-winning determination is made that a jackpot has been won, the start of a jackpot game is allowed. Prior to the winning/non-winning determination, the game machine determines whether or not the stored information about winning/non-winning is jackpot information that leads to a jackpot. If the winning/non-winning information is determined to be a jackpot information and when the result of the winning/non-winning determination is made to be a small winning combination based on the winning/non-winning information stored at the time the winning/non-winning information is determined to be the jackpot information, the game machine performs a special small winning combination that has a high probability of starting a jackpot game.
