<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power loss in a balancer device by reducing axial thrust force acting on a balancer shaft while reducing resistance of oil acting on a balance weight by a tilt surface formed on the balance weight in the balancer device arranged in an oil pan. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the balancer shafts 10; 20 of the balancer device B, first and second tilt surfaces 53, 63; 73, 83 are formed on front parts 51, 61; 71, 81 in rotation directions R1; R2 of the first and second balance weights 50, 60; 70, 80. The axial thrust force F1; F2 imparted to the balancer shafts 10; 20 by helical gears 16; 26 is reduced by first thrust force Fa1; Fb1 imparted to the balancer shafts 10 and 20 by the first balance weights 50; 70 by reaction force of the oil acting on the first tilt surfaces 53; 73 and second thrust force Fa2; Fb2 imparted to the balancer shafts 10; 20 by the second balance weights 60; 80 by reaction force of the oil acting on the second tilt surfaces 63; 83.
