PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing nickel fine powder whose dispersibility is sufficiently secured and which is suitable as the material for an electronic component with high productivity also at a low cost. SOLUTION: The method includes: a stage (A) where a nickel salt aqueous solution is neutralized with an alkali aqueous solution so as to produce nickel hydroxide precipitates, and next, nickel hydroxide powder is obtained; a stage (B) where the nickel hydroxide precipitates are roasted in a nonreducing atmosphere so as to produce nickel oxide powder; a stage (C) where the nickel oxide powder is granulated so as to obtain a granulated body of nickel oxide powder; a stage (D) where the granulated body of nickel oxide powder is dried; and a stage (E) where the granulated body of nickel oxide powder after the drying is reduced in a reducing gas atmosphere so as to obtain nickel fine powder.
