<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foaming filler excellent in storing property and low-temperature foaming characteristic which combines shape maintainability and adhesion in a well balance; and a production method thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The foaming filler is one comprising an acrylic resin composition containing a thermal foaming agent and foaming at 100 to 180°C to fill a space in a structure, in which the amount of components insoluble in ethyl acetate before the foaming is less than 10 wt.%, based on the weight of the foaming filler excluding the thermal foaming agent, and the amount of components insoluble in ethyl acetate after the foaming is more than 70 wt.%, based on the weight of the foaming filler including the thermal foaming agent. According to the foaming filler and the production method thereof, there can be provided a foaming filler excellent in storing property and low-temperature foaming characteristic and combining shape maintainability and adhesion. Therefore, the foaming filler can be preferably used as a foaming filler for filling a space in a structure in automobiles, home electric appliances, industrial machines and the like.
