摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that in a method of forming an RE123-based oxide superconductor by using a solid-liquid reaction in a mixture raw material of RE<SB>2</SB>BaO<SB>4</SB>and a Ba<SB>x</SB>-Cu<SB>y</SB>-O<SB>z</SB>-based raw material, although the above method aims to form a single core wire material or a multicore wire material with a metal sheath as a holding member at a low temperature, the critical current Ic and the critical current density Jc are low and reproducibility is poor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The production method of an RE123-based oxide superconductor includes steps of: forming a complex phase precursor including RE<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>by heating a mixture raw material in a state that the mixture raw material containing at least RE<SB>2</SB>BaO<SB>4</SB>and a Ba<SB>x</SB>-Cu<SB>y</SB>-O<SB>z</SB>-based raw material is held inside a holding member; making the complex phase precursor dense by pressurizing the complex phase precursor held inside the holding member after the step of forming the complex phase precursor is carried out; and heat-treating the complex phase precursor which is made dense in an atmosphere containing oxygen.
