<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring degree of stain capable of reducing the amount of use of demineralized water as much as possible, reducing a measurement error between measuring people, and further easily and rapidly measuring the degree of stain. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method of measuring a degree of stain, a sheet 1 made of a water-absorbing polymer material for easily discharging absorbed moisture when external pressure is applied is adopted, a waterproof sheet 2 is bonded to the back of the water-absorbing polymer sheet 1, the sheet 1 is stuck to a measurement surface 4 of the surface of equipment and a water-soluble staining substance 5 is sampled, the electric conductivity or stain concentration of a solution to which the sampled staining substance is dissolved is measured, and a measurement value of the stain concentration is converted to the degree of stain.
