<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of an inadequate stop position of a plantation finger by a definite position stop clutch caused by adjustment of a transmission system and change of working conditions. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A riding rice planter includes a planting mechanism 13 to move the plantation finger 22 along a prescribed stationary trajectory by planting power transmitted to a planting drive shaft 19, and the definite position stop clutch 44 inserted in a planting transmission path to transmit the planting power to the planting drive shaft 19 and stop the plantation finger 22 at the definite position of the stationary trajectory.
