<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproduction apparatus for performing picture-in-picture surely, although types of materials which the reproduction apparatus decodes are varied considerably. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of video streams and an STN_table are recorded at a local storage. Each of the plurality of video streams is a secondary video stream to be reproduced with a primary video stream. As for a composite image composed of a parent image and a child image, each of the plurality of video streams includes picture data to be displayed as the child image. Among a plurality of secondary video streams, a stream entry of the one permitted with reproducing is described at the STN_table.
