<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and securely detect an abnormal situation when a liquid medicine is injected, and to prevent continuance of injection of the liquid medicine in the abnormal situation. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid medicine injection system 200, an open route is formed in which the liquid medicine LM flows from a container 10 containing the liquid medicine LM to a blood vessel within a living body 22 via a micro-pump 12, a flow sensor 14 and a tube 15. As a result, the back pressure from within the living body directly acts on the micro-pump 12 via the open route. If the flow rate of the liquid medicine LM is constant, the power of the micro-pump has a constant relationship with the back pressure. The flow rate of the liquid medicine LM is adjusted to a target amount by controlling the power, and the power is monitored.
