<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open stair apparatus capable of combining open stairs with an elevator, increasing structural strength and stability of the whole apparatus sufficiently, and reducing total area of a floor surface for entrance for the stairs on the second story and a floor surface for landing lobby for the elevator. <P>SOLUTION: The open stair apparatus 10 includes the open stairs 12, the elevator 14 arranging an elevator car 32 in a shaft 28 of a structural body 30 forming the shaft in its inside, and a landing place 16 provided to make its surface floor continuous with the surface floor 2FL on the second story of a dwelling house. A lower end of the open stairs is fixed to the floor surface 1FL on the first story of the house and an upper end of the open stairs is fixed to a front end part of the landing. The elevator is arranged behind the landing, and a rear end part of the landing is fixed to the structural body of the elevator.
