<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for shooting an image, which can shoot a preferable image by appropriately guiding visual lines of objects in a situation where a small number of objects are shot by a lot of people. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A shooting situation is determined by analyzing an image introduced from an image sensor 130. When the shooting situation is determined to be one where a small number of objects are shot by a lot of people, a visual line guide lamp 20 is made to emit light to actuate a visual line guide function.
