<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control apparatus and a method of correcting torque ripple for correcting a harmonic torque ripple including a plurality of frequency components, and accurately determining the torque ripple of cogging and the like from a torque command. <P>SOLUTION: The motor control apparatus includes: a sampling determinator 9 for outputting a sampling execution command to a sampling unit 10 in accordance with an established sampling condition; and an averaging processor 13 for calculating an average Fourier coefficient a<SB>n</SB><SP>*</SP>, b<SB>n</SB><SP>*</SP>, from a plurality of Fourier coefficients a<SB>n</SB>, b<SB>n</SB>determined by using the corrected torque command T<SB>r</SB><SP>*</SP>sampled at a plurality of motor positions P<SB>m</SB>. A correction-value calculator 12 calculates a torque-ripple correction value T<SB>h</SB>, using the Fourier coefficient a<SB>n</SB>, b<SB>n</SB>or the average Fourier coefficient a<SB>n</SB><SP>*</SP>, b<SB>n</SB><SP>*</SP>to be updated by a set repeat count K. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
