<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superhydrophilic medical material by using a CMB excellent in biocompatibility such as little interaction with biological components such as protein and blood cell, for developing advanced medical instruments and artificial internal organs in the next generation and to provide a medical instrument using the medical material. <P>SOLUTION: The medical material contains a polymer brush in which a monomer composition containing N-methacryloyloxyethyl-N, N-dimethylammonium-α-N-methylcarboxybetaine expressed by formula (I) is overlapped one on another into a brush shape on a base member surface, and the medical instrument uses the medical material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
