PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device in which a moving distance can be correctly detected and a storage area can be reduced, and by which a picture can be taken according to the intention of the photographer.

SOLUTION: The imaging device is provided with: an image pickup device 11 which converts an image inputted via a lens system 10 into a photographic image; a display unit 13 which displays an image with a first field angle obtained from the photographic image being imaged; a moving distance detection unit 15 which detects a moving distance between images with the first field angle based on the plurality of images with the first field angle that are sequentially imaged; a partial image storage unit 17 which stores the image with a second field angle that is smaller than the first field angle; and a panorama synthesis unit 18 which creates a panorama image based on the plurality of images with the second field angle stored in the partial image storage unit 17 and the moving distance between the images with the first field angle that are respectively associated with the plurality of images with the second field angle.
