PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic signature system having high security level as compared with a case that electronic signature is performed by using a portable recording medium in which an unencrypted secret key for signature is recorded. SOLUTION: The electronic signature system 1 includes: a first portable recording medium 10 in which an encrypted secret key for signature is recorded; a second portable recording medium 20 in which a decryption key for decrypting the encrypted secret key for signature is recorded; a decryption part 30 for decrypting the encrypted secret key for signature which is recorded in the first portable recording medium 10 by the decryption key recorded in the second portable recording medium 20; and an electronic signature part 40 for performing electronic signature by the decrypted secret key for signature.
