PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To authenticate a user to access a LAN (Local Area Network) without needing special software on a terminal device side and without imposing an operation only for the user authentication on a user of the terminal device. SOLUTION: A relay device is connected to a communication network including a plurality of kinds of server devices each providing service by communication based on one of specific communication protocols and connected to the terminal device performing communication based on each communication protocol. The relay device acquires a user identifier on the user of the terminal device by the communication based on a predetermined one of the communication protocols defined in advance for the service provision, and decides whether the user is permitted to use each service based on the user identifier.
