<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality with a vehicular control device without adding a signal line in the case of providing a sensor in a lamp having a function of lamp deflection control for detecting the abnormality such as lens contamination, light bulb burnout or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicular lamp system includes: the lamp LHL capable of changing an irradiated area; an actuating means 4, 5 for changing the irradiated area by actuating the lamp; a control means 11, 12 for executing a drive control of the actuating means 4, 5 with signals transmitted via signal lines SSL, LSL to the actuating means 4, 5; an actuating means abnormality detection means 13 for detecting the abnormality of the actuating means by detecting the signals transmitted via the signal lines; and lamp abnormality detection means 6, 7 for detecting various sorts of the abnormality in the lamp. The lamp abnormality detection means 6, 7 sets the actuating means 4, 5 in an abnormal condition when detecting the abnormality.
