PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe heat source unit capable of reducing a casing size. SOLUTION: The heat source unit is equipped with an axial fan blower comprised by plurally providing blades with blade rear rim parts in an outflow direction of air of an axial fan formed in arced recessed shapes recessed in a blade front rim direction, and a fan guard installed in an air outflow side of the axial fan. The fan guard has a plurality of openings, and in the opening, an area of a portion facing a recessed part of the blade rear rim part is formed larger than an area of a portion not facing the recessed part.
