<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle riding type vehicle capable of increasing flexibility of shape of a seat arranged behind it by suppressing variation of liquid surface height of a fuel when the vehicle stops on a slope and suppressing vertical width of a fuel tank. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the saddle riding type four-wheeled vehicle, the fuel tank 40; a fuel pump 50 arranged in the fuel tank 40; and the saddle riding type seat 5 arranged behind the fuel tank 40 are provided. A front part 5a of the seat 5 is positioned above the fuel tank 40, and the fuel pump 50 is arranged such that an upper end of the fuel pump 50 is positioned at a front side or a rear side in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body relative to a lower end and an axis of the fuel pump 50 becomes oblique relative to a vertical direction.
