<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing device capable of preventing breakage when transporting a panel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The packing device comprises a panel 10 in which electrode groups are arranged on substrates facing each other so as to form a discharge space, and a flexible patch-board 17 for taking out a terminal connected to the electrode group is arranged, and a packing member 18 for individually packing the panels 10. The packing member 18 comprises a double-foldable packing body 19 having an area capable of covering the entire panels 10 including the flexible patch-board 17 in a double-folded manner, and composed of sheet materials having a hollow structure, and stoppers 20 which are detachably fitted to three peripheral edges with the packing body 19 overlapped in a double-folded manner, and hold peripheral edges of the packing body 19 in an overlapping manner.
