The display device has a structure comprising upper and lower electrodes. One or multiple layers are arranged between the upper and lower electrodes, of which one is an organic emission layer. The structure is arranged on a transparent, flexible display film. A shape memory alloy is placed on the display film such that a distortion of the shape memory alloy occurred during heating, leads to a mechanical stabilization of the display film.
