METHOD, SYSTEM AND EQUIPMENT FOR TRANSMITTING MEDIA CONTENTS BY MEANS OF FILES

A method, a system and an equipment for transmitting media contents by means of files, wherein the method is applied to the Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) network based on the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), and comprises: receiving a session initiation request comprising a request identifier which is used for identifying that the session initiation request is transmitted by means of files; negotiating for creating a content channel in which transmission is by means of files; and transmitting media contents via the content channel. The embodiment of the present invention can transmit media contents in the form of files in the content channel by creating a content channel, enables to transmit contents by means of files in IPTV systems based on IMS, and improves service capability of IPTV systems.
