<p>A vehicle batteryfault detection device for detecting leakage current between a power source and a portion of the vehicle, comprising. a connection to ground, a first voltage divider adapted for connection between the ground and the positive terminal of the power supply, a second voltage divider adapted for connection between the ground and the negative terminal in series with the first voltage divider, a processor connected to the dividing junctions of both the first and second dividers and which is programmed to calculate a representation of the value of the leakage resistance, or to calculate the change in the leakage resistance, through the portion of the vehicle, by comparison of the voltages from the two dividing junctions.</p> |
