PURPOSE: A surface treating apparatus of a wire is provided so that the peel strength with the coated resin is enhanced against the steel wire rope. The steel wire rope having the intensity difference making a note is obtained. CONSTITUTION: A surface treating apparatus of a wire comprises a blast device(1). It dies of resentment the hard particles on a circumference of a wire(11) and a blasting apparatus processes the outer surface of a wire. The blasting apparatus is included of a plurality of nozzles(4, 5, 6, 7) and a separable groove forming back plate(2). Nozzles are arranged in the axis line surrounding of the wire as the columnar direction as a regular intervals radial. In order not to be each other opposite it each other falls to the axial direction of the wire separately and nozzles are arranged. It has the groove in which the wire is inserted.
