PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and an operating method thereof are provided to use both a display area and a back side of the display area, thereby simultaneously displaying information displayed in each area. CONSTITUTION: The first display area is included in a front side. A transparent flexible display unit with the second display area is included in a back side. An image is displayed on the first display area(S550). If a menu for an inversion screen is selected, the first display area is divided into the first and second areas. The image is right/left inversely displayed on the second area(S565).
