<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of suppressing the deposition of deposit on the inner wall surface of a communication passage while favorably maintaining an exhaust air-fuel ratio. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device includes an introduction means which comprises a catalyst for exhaust emission control installed in an exhaust passage, an injector for injecting an additive into the exhaust passage through the communication passage, and a supply passage communicating with injection holes disposed around the injector and introduces air from into the communication passage each time the additive is injected, an air-fuel ratio detection means for detecting the exhaust air-fuel ratio, and an adjusting means for adjusting the amount of the additive injected from the injector relative to the amount of the air introduced into the communication passage based on the results detected by the air-fuel ratio detection means so that the exhaust air-fuel ratio is the target value in the period in which the air is introduced into the communication passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
