PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a compound-eye type camera system such as a stereo camera by reducing a burden on an image distortion correction program.

SOLUTION: The stereo camera 100 includes a pair of lenses 1, CCDs 2 provided in one-to-one correspondence with the respective lenses 1 to convert optical signals made incident through the corresponding lenses 1 into electric signals, and a data processor 7 for preparing image data on the basis of the electric signals outputted from the respective CCDs 2. The lenses 1 include low distortion lenses 1A.
